    The College of Law aims to produce the first class professionals who will credit to the legal profession and a good citizen of the nation in whose service the Lyceum of the Philippines is firmly dedicated.

    • The College of law seeks as its primary purpose the preparation of students for the practice of law and to provide legal training to those who may choose to enter such other fields of endeavor in the public or private sectors as may require legal knowledge and skills.

    • The law school shall maintain at all times a high standard of instruction so as to imbue the students not only with the skills of a first class lawyer but also the values of a good leader.

    • The college of law shall advance the frontiers of legal knowledge through research and emphasize the role of law in national development.

    • The college of law shall aim to develop the social awareness of the students through the extension of legal aid to the unprivileged and through advocacy of legal reforms in the larger community.
    • To prepare students for the practice of law and to produce lawyers committed to the protection and preservation of human rights;

    • To train prospective lawyers who will assist effectively in the administration of justice so as to attain the ends of a just society;

    • To educate lawyers who are not only skilled craftsmen but also good citizens of the larger society;

    • To train professionals for public service who will practice the tenets of good governance laid down by the founding father of the Lyceum of the Philippines, Jose P. Laurel; and

    • To prepare lawyers for future global competition in the face of globalization of the oncoming law practice.
